Gudi Padwa

Gudi Padwa which is also known as Samvatsar Padvo, Yugadi, Ugadi, Cheti Chand or and Navreh is the famous harvest festival and the beginning of the New Year according to lunisolar Hindu calendar. To feel the essence of our rich Indian traditions and culture Sr KG B & D children were dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire. They performed a vibrant dance on padwa. A magnificent Gudi was raised at the entrance of the school adorned by a colourful rangoli to welcome the new year. The significance of the day was discussed with the children as they made their Gudi takebacks.
